
"A heart that deviseth wicked immaginations"
The Bible tells us that out of the issues of the heart, the mouth speaks. The very words we say are thought about and pondered with the heart of every person. Not only this,many of us don't realize that our immagination works in conjunction with our heart. Man's immagination gives him a mental picture of the issues that confronts him and shaped the way his feelings feel them and his minds processes what he sees, thinks and hopes. In the spiritual realm of life, the heart of a person represents the " emotional centre" or storehouse for all emotional feelings. In the heart of a man or a woman is where they come to the realize their actual feelings about a situation and ultimately how they will respond to what they feel.
In the King James Version of the Bible, the word "wicked" appeared 344 times.
The primary reasons God hates "a wicked heart" can be seen by the 12 descriptions the Psalmist gave concerning the attitude of a '"wicked hearted" person in
Psalms 10:2-11:
1 The wicked heart is prideful
In a person's "pride" moment, that person will, use their immaginations to devise "devious" methods to persecute or retaliate against the poor: People actually take the time to immagine and think of ways to do and say wicked things about others.
2. A wicked heart is boastful and sometimes will bless covetous people.
As we know in the 10 Commandments God hates covetousness and commanded us not to covet, then gives us a list of everything and everyone we are not to have a spirit of covet against. According to the Barnes Notes' Commentary, "boasting is the "vaunting of one's own excellencies or endowments". This evil "spirit" proceeds from the idea of "superiority" over others; and is connected with a feeling of contempt or disregard for them. "God's agape love" corrects this, because his love produces a desire for true happiness as well as the desire to "entreat" another person with loving kindness rather then "treat" them with hateful contempt
Acting out of love regards others with esteem, without boast over them as they too are victims of covetousness. Anybody who has affectionate regard for others would not and does not boast of their own qualities over them.
3. A wicked, heart will not think about or seek after God:
The Psalmist compares the person with a wicked heart to a "fool". He said in Psalms 14:1:"The fool has said in their heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done "abominable" works, there is nonbe that do any good works.
4. A wicked heart is a "grevious" heart.
That is, a wicked hearted person is bitter, angry with people and the world in general. sometimes, they are jealousy of others as in Cain and Abel. They look to cause trouble and will always find themselves getting in and out of some type of trouble.
5. A wicked heart doesn't understand God's judgments.
Any person that has wickedness in ther heart is a carnal minded person. The Bibles tells us in Romans 8:7: the "carnal mind" is emity (that is, at odds) with God in every way. Like the "carnal mind", the wicked heart is hostile toward God's principles, preciepts, and truths, and exhibits this in the way they treat others. Jesus said: (paraphrased) the way you treat others is the same way you are in reality treating me. A wicked hearted person cannot please God in any way because they are operating in the "flesh".
6. A wicked heart "puffs" at all of his enemies.
Contempt was sometimes shown also by protruding the lips (Ps 22:7): 'They shoot out the lip;' and also by gaping upon a person (Ps 22:13); 'They gaped upon me with their mouths.'
7. The wicked hearted person says: I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity.
Some wicked hearted people believe that they can do whatever they wish and get away with it. They belieeeve thatr they are so clever and intimidating that no oine dares to attempt to bring harm to them. They don't believe as the Bible tells us in Galatians 6:7-8: that clearly warns that we reap what we sow, in the measure and type of "sowing" we do.
8. The Wicked hearted person posesses a foul mouth, full of cursing deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
According to 2 Chron 36:16: with their foul mouths, they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord eventually rises up against them. It's not uncommon for the wicked hearted to used God's name in blasphemy with profane adjectives , the noun "mother" with a slang psuedo-sexual term or Son of... and other man made slang expressions designed to degrade the person or persons that are victime of their vulgar verbal tirade. An "interesting note here: An atheist, strange as it may seem, is just as likely to make a frequent use of the name of God, and to call upon Him, as other people; just as profane people, who have no belief in the Saviour, swear by Jesus Christ and then go about in their wickedness to establish their own form of self- righteousness.
9 A wicked hearted person lirks around in the dark, setting their eyes upon the poor and murdering the innocent.
You wonder why the wicked hearted does this? The prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 59:7-8 gives us the same vivid description about the mindset of the wicked hearted: Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are evil thoughts; ruin and destruction mark their ways. The way of peace they do not know;there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no one who walks in them will know peace.
10. The wicked hearted person lies in wait, luring the poor toward their hiding place into the trap.
Not only does the wicked hearted persan lie in wait for their victims, they first set their eyes upon a certtain type of person at random they wish to assault and then, they sometimes set elaborate traps to lure the unsuspecting innocent victims to the sight where wicked mayhem will take place.
11. The wicked heart croucheth, and humbleth itself that the poor may fall by his strong ones.
Sometimes, they will have a other people of the "baser" sort working in collusion with them. They will act as a "humble" decoy and let the others carry out the physical dirty work. But a secular songwriter once wrote a great message bearing song that somes up the outward deceptive scheme of the wicked heart: "Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend. Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lirks with". Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth...Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and the Bible has proof.
12. The wicked hearted says in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see what I'm doing.
The "greatest fallacy" in the mind of a wicked hearted person is the misbelief that God is somewhere hiding and is not aware of their evil schems and wicked devices. God sees all and he knows all. God may not act instantly upon the actions of the wicked, but it doesn't mean that they will get away with their actions either. Jesus said in Matthew 24, this evil generation will experience swift destruction at a time that they are verbally declaring peace and safety. You never knw when God will act upon wickedness but be forewarned: He will and He does!
In Romans 10:10, the Apostle Paul said: with the heart man believes....and with the mouth, man confesses... While Paul was speaking on how the right beliefs in a person heart can in conjunction with their verbal confession of those same beliefs can lead to salvation in Christ, conversely, James tells us also that out of the same mouth can come both blessings and cursings. What come forth out of the mouth of a wicked hearted person in general is a true reflection of what resides in their heart.
Make no mistake about it, God hates a wicked heart. There are several things you can do to get rid of a wicked heart:
1. You must be saved. You must repent and confessed your sin to God. In Psalms 51
David attributed his sin it to the wickedness that grabbed his heart. He prayed that he might have what he was conscious that he did "not" at the time possess: a clean or a pure heart. God can clean out all the evil that lirks in the heart of a person.
2. Realize the importance of a clean heart.
A clean heart means that the heart is made pure; your affections and feelings are made right; The process of cleaning out the evil that lirks inthe heart of every man can be produced only by the power of God
3. God must renew your "inner man", that is your "inner spirit".
Pray for a heart that would be firm in the purposes of virtue; that would not yield to temptation; that would carry out" holy" not "hellish"resolutions; a heart that would be stedfast in the service of God.
4. Finally, as God makes the "life" changes, began changing the things you think about. Philippians 4:8-9 says: Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me — put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
