The "Rapture" of the Church of Jesus Christ
The " Spirit wars' we fight in this life don't always come at us face to face or toe to toe.. Sometimes, the enemy makes us think that he's not the enemy but someone is.on your side. He's constantly at war with the "Saints" of God. Ephesians 6:10-18 tells the saints to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might putting on the "whole armor" of God, to withstand and stand against the "wiles" of the Devil.
Jesus spoke of a time of "Great Tribulation" in Matthew 24. Paul spoke of "Perilous Times" (same event) coming in 1 Timothy 3. All of these events either leads up to and/ or will occur after Jesus calls his church out of this world in a event called the "Rapture". While you will not find the word "rapture" anywhere in the Bible, by definition, it is a "snatching away of the "saints" from horrific events that are soon to befall the earth in the near future. This event is based on 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and illustrated in "types" throughout both in the Old and New Testaments.
There are 3 prevailing beliefs about the Rapture. Some believe this will occur before Israel goes through a period of great persecution that will last fore 7 years. Some believe that the church will be taken out of this earth after 31/2 years into this terrible period. there are those who believe the world will be judged as a whole and no rapture will occur at all. Please share your view and why?
