"You have ascended on high,You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men,Even from the rebellious, That the Lord God might dwell there". (NKJV)
This article is the final article of a 4-part Series containing the last 10 of a list of 37 Messianic prophecies that have been already fulfilled concerning Our "Messiah" Christ Jesus. All 37 Messianic prophecies concerned His 1st coming, including His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension into Heaven. Each "fulfilled" prophecy is listed in the order in which they actually occurred in history. Again, they concern the "first coming" of Jesus Christ, the "Lamb of God" that came to take away the "SIN" of the world. These prophecies concern His birth, ministry, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. All "unfulfilled" prophecies that remains in the Bible concerning Jesus pertains to His "Second Coming". At present, Jesus occupies the office of our Great High Priest, sitting at the "right hand" of God, interceding in our behalf until it's time He take off His "Robe of the Priesthood" and put's on the "Robe of Judgment" and after "rapturing" His church to both judge it and allow the judgment of Israel to take place in a 7- year Tribulation Period, He then returns to earth and set up His Messianic Kingdom on earth for 1000 years.

"Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jews did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down. The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other. But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: "Not one of his bones will be broken," and, as another scripture says, "They will look on the one they have pierced." (NIV)
John 20:26-30 (Fulfilled)
A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." (NIV)

When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, It is finished! And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. Since it was the day of Preparation, in order to prevent the bodies from hanging on the cross on the Sabbath — for that Sabbath was a very solemn and important one; the Jews requested Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken away. And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves." Jesus: " Buried With The Rich":... Fulfilled in Matthew 27: 57-60
Isaiah 53:7-9 (Prophecy)
"He was oppressed, [yet when] He was afflicted, He was submissive and opened not His mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth. By oppression and judgment He was taken away; and as for His generation, who among them considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living [stricken to His death] for the transgression of my [Isaiah's] people, to whom the stroke was due? And they assigned Him a grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in His death, although He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth". [Matt 27:57-60; 1 Peter 2:22,23.] (AMPLIFIED)
Matthew 27:57-60 (Fulfilled )
"When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him. And Joseph took the body and rolled it up in a clean linen cloth used for swathing dead bodies And laid it in his own fresh (undefiled) tomb, which he had hewn in the rock; and he rolled a big boulder over the door of the tomb and went away". 1 Peter 2:21-24
"For even to this were you called [it is inseparable from your vocation]. For Christ also suffered for you, leaving you [His personal] example, so that you should follow in His footsteps. He was guilty of no sin, neither was deceit (guile) ever found on His lips. When He was reviled and insulted, He did not revile or offer insult in return; [when] He was abused and suffered, He made no threats [of vengeance]; but he trusted [Himself and everything] to Him Who judges fairly. He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed". (AMPLIFIED)

Mark 16:1-13 (Fulfilled)
"Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. And they said among themselves, "Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?" But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away for it was very large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples and Peter that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you."
"So they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. Mary Magdalene Sees the Risen Lord. Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept. And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.
Jesus Appears to Two Disciples
(Luke 24:13-35)
After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country. 13 And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either. (NKJV)
John 20:1-14
"Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!" So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) Then the disciples went back to their homes, but Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, "Woman, why are you crying?""They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him." At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus". (NIV)

Jesus: "His Ascension To Heaven and To God's (Jehovah) Right Hand":...Fulfilled in Mark 16:19,
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and Ephesians 4:8-12
Psalms 68:18-20 (Prophecy)
"You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the Lord God might dwell there.Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation! Selah. Our God is the God of salvation; And to God the Lord belong escapes from death". (NKJV)
Mark 16:14-20 (Fulfillment)
"Afterward He appeared to the Eleven [apostles themselves] as they reclined at table; and He reproved and reproached them for their unbelief (their lack of faith) and their hardness of heart, because they had refused to believe those who had seen Him and looked at Him attentively after He had risen [from death]. And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race].He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned".
"And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well. So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and He sat down at the right hand of God.And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. Amen" (so be it). (AMPLIFIED)
1 Corinthians 15:1-5
"Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures", (NKJV)
Ephesians 4:8-10
"Therefore it is said, When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive [He led a train of vanquished foes] and He bestowed gifts on men.[But He ascended?] Now what can this, He ascended, mean but that He had previously descended from [the heights of] heaven into [the depths], the lower parts of the earth? He Who descended is the [very] same as He Who also has ascended high above all the heavens, that He [His presence] might fill all things (the whole universe, from the lowest to the highest). Conclusion:
Starting with Genesis 3:15, Yahweh (Jehovah) God gave us 37 prophetic clues of what we could expect from the "Lamb of God, (Jesus Christ) who came to take away the "SIN" of the world. In the infinite wisdom and love of Yahweh, the plan of salvation for Adam was already in place, well before he said in Genesis 1:27: "Let us make man in Our image and after Our likeness". Yahweh loved man, but now living spiritually in a fallen state and reflecting that great fall in all of his actions, God was ready to totally destroy man and wipe him off the face of the earth, but to fulfill Genesis 3:15, there had to be at least one man found that would find "grace" in God's eyes. (Noah) Using Prophets, Priest, Seers,Statesmen, etc..God made it known to man that a "Messiah" or "Deliverer" would come and if he would accept HIM, God would redeem (save) "fallen" man and restore him in right relationship with HIM. Much in the Old Testament was written concerning the coming of Jesus Christ. Together these 37 Prophetic declarations spanned 42 generations tracing Jesus back to Adam, as the seed of Abraham, the Son of David and the SON of GOD. Knowing that these 37 prophecies were literally fulfilled in Jesus Christ from His birth in City of David called Bethlehem to His ascension back into Heaven. As He now sits at the "right hand" of the Father as our Great High Priest and Intercessor, We await His return back for His people, calling us from the graves and changing those of us who will be alive at His appearing. In the mean time, there are some things we need to do as we wait for our change to come:
1. Set our heart and mind toward Christ and things above.
Colossians 3:1-11
"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all". (NIV)
2. Remember: If God is now for you, who really can be against you?
Romans 8:31-39
"What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all; how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died, more than that, who was raised to life is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
