Editorial: "The Christian Dilema: Fellowship with the World Versus Evangelisn in the World":

There's always been a "great outcry" and even a "complaint" against the Christian church from people with a  "worldly view"  that the church won't fellowship with the world and tends to stay behind the four wall of the church building and fellowship only with itself. What the world doesn't understand about the social makeup of God's Church is the Christian in it is a "called out body of people"Firstt they are called out to live by the oracles of Holy Writ- The Bible and then to evangelize the world in order to gather a people of every race, and creed for the Lord Jesus Christ. A friend of mine on facebook raised an important and true assessment of the plight of the modern church. This is my sincere response to the complaint he raised with true accuracy. Except where there are revisions in this brief article, much of what I say here was said on his facebook post....

Let me start by saying I share his position, but for a much deeper reason than maybe he 's aware of. I understand why this dilema exists.: There exist basically two highly probably explanations why we have the dilema he raised and I hope to by the aid of the Holy Spirit give sound reasoning in the following perspective:

First, when Christians truly fellowship with other Christians, according to (Proverbs 27:17: "As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend". NKJV) the Bible says it is "iron" sharpening "iron" that is "stronger friends sharpening the new found "weaker friends in the faith"... to prepare them to go out into the world along with those who are strong and compel "non- christians" to become "one with Jesus Christ" and plead with them to make him their "Lord and Savior"....The Church is both a school and a hospital full of "recovering sin addicts"! and because of this fact; in the same manner the world's sin-addicts cling to one another, ...you see a whole lot of "clinging" within the church fellowship! It's a habit they learned while in the world....

Now, at some point while in "spiritual" rehab,(the sanctification process) the patients get well enough to go back into society and share the "wonderful and glorious" experience of their rehab... that is to tell the good news that Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE... and invite those who they meet and mingle with to meet HIM. They testify to the world: "What a wonderful change has been wrought in my life since Jesus came into my heart!" They do this by continuing the rehab program of the church ( which is based on 4 "biblical perscriptions: FELLOWSHIP, STEWARDSHIP, CORRECT BIBLE DOCTRINE AND FINALLY EVANGELISM.

For the many of Pastors. preachers, Ministers and Teachers and anyone else who feels the same way; What my friend correctly proposed can only be done if....and only if....the "true Christian" is living by the same standards Jesus did while he traveled to spread the good news...... Unfortunately, unlike Jesus, there are too many who attend church who profess to be Christians but aren't willing to fully embrace what this really means, especially in terms of how God wants to order their lives versus them having the attitude:" Okay God, now that I'm saved, I'll take over from here!"....

You have to walk the walk and not just talk the talk! The reason is simple: if you don't and keep pertetrating a lie, when those who do go out, not to fellowship, but to befriend and show the "non-Christian" a more excellent way, many "non-Christians" in the world will cry: The Church is full of hypocrites! Let's face real facts: the world sees a " hyprocisy" in many "professed Christians" who are in reality in church, but are not really in Christians; they are just in the fellowship In the Book of Jude, Jude called them "Nicoliatanes"....or to translate: the great pretenders!

Second... while it is the mandate of the church to "evangelize" the world, a fellowship with those who are not truly seeking to be saved will oppose a "real challenge" to the one who goes out , but is not fully equipped to handle the "interactive fellowship". We go out to gain our brother and sister ...not to return to our old "stomping gropund where we lived in darkness.and show them by word and deed the advantage of a Christian life fully connected to Jesus Christ.

Contrary to what it seems, the Christian needs their fellow Christian and the fellowship that develops along with the relationship, just as much as tobeying he mandate that compels us to go out and make disciples. You know as well as I know that there are many "weak members" of the faith that cause and stir up unnecessary drama within the church fellowship...That's a part of the rehap process too! It's called "spiritual withdrawal" Regeneration by the Holy Spirit makes the rehab sucessful and the person truly becaomes a "new creatrion in Jesus Christ! Imagine that same person out fellowshipping with those who are" not of the way" having the same "carnal attitude" they are going to face..yet making the claim to represent Christ....That weak Christian will fool around and end up back in the world doing worse than they were doing the first time.

When strong Christians go out into society, knowing the real purpose and lovingly focus on that; evangelizing wherever God sends to to whomever He sends them to ...the results will be othen a "new convert" in Jesus Christ and a true and lasting fellowship with them. Finally Remember the Scriptures are explicitly clear on this :Righeousness can't have "real fellowship" with unrighteousness...They are "polar opposites" and we were told by Christ Himself to come out from among them and be separated from them. May God bless all who reads.....

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever wanted to walk away from everything and everyone? You were tired of feeling the way you felt. Have you ever wanted to turn and walk away from years of hard work? It seems as though no one really appreciates your dedication. Have you ever felt misunderstood or prejudged by society? No matter what you do or say, someone takes it the wrong way. Have you ever experienced discouragement because of a negative doctor’s report or financial statement? Just when you thought things were getting better, everything came unscrewed. Has your ministry ever endured lies and rumors? Have you been there? Are you there now? Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.

My friend, Whatever You Do, Don’t Give Up! Life will often place you in a position of uncertainty. There will be people in your life who become jealous of you. Your ministry will experience lies and rumors from envious people. Your body will endure a time of weariness and despair. Giving up seems easy now. Walking away becomes tempting. The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 12:9 - And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness … At your lowest point in life, God is still strong. When everything seems chaotic in your life, God is still in control.

When others mock you, God is still faithful. Whatever You Do, Don’t Give Up! You must continue praising the Lord. When you feel like no one else believes, you cannot give in to their disbelief or negativity. My brother, my sister, what are you currently faced with today? Has life placed a hurdle in your plans? Have you experienced betrayal and deceit?

Do you feel alone? Whatever You Do, Don’t Give Up! The Bible declares in Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. You are able to overcome your current dilemmas. You can make it through. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. God has not forsaken you. Do not quit on the plans of God for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). You must learn to encourage (minister) yourself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6). You have to speak life to any dead situations in your life (Proverbs 18:21). The Bible declares in Ephesians 6:13-14 - Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore,… Whatever You Do, Don’t Give Up!

Challenge for the Day: When quitting enters your mind, counter it with your praise.

How to defeat a "difficult Devil" that acts stubbon and won't go away easily:

1. Pray. First, anchor yourself in the blessed assurance that God is always present, even when it seem like he's not there. (remember the illustration of the footprints in the sand.)

Be rest assured that God hears and answers your prayer requests, in the manner that best works toward your ultimate good. God (Jehovah-Elohim) is all that you will ever need to defeat the "wiles of the Devil". Be reassured through prayer and the written Word that the Lord’s love and presence is always there and according to Romans 8: 35-38, nothing shall be able to separate you from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. Finally, 1 John 1:9 admonishes us to repent of any known sin that would strain our relationship with God, Praise the Lord because He is the real source of all our strength and security and forgiveness frees us from any accusation Satan makes to God concerning us. When you pray, ask God for a sharpened discernment and wisdom, as you invite the Holy Spirit to take full control over you and all circumstances you face.

2. Realize your "victorious" position in Jesus Christ.
According to Ephesians 2:6, we are “spiritually seated" in the heavenly places with Jesus Christ. This means in a sense, we are looking down on these "principalities, powers , dark rulers and spiritual wickedness" in the heavenlies. This should give you the confidence to be “strong in the Lord” and in the power of his might. (Ephesians 6:10) Remember when we resist the Devil, we are resisting in a strength beyond our natural strength and according to Hebrews 1:14, there are mighty angels, assigned to minister to you and assist you in conquering the wiles of the Devil.

3.  Rely on the “omnipotent power “in Jesus Name.

According to Philippians 2:9-11, demons tremble in fear at the "calling" on the name of Jesus. He has been given a "name" that is" above all names" that at  the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord to the "Glory of God the Father".  Second, rely on the power of Jesus’ atoning blood and cleansing power in every situation you face in this life. (Colossians 1:13-20; Revelation 12:11) "Jesus precious blood" covers each believing convert and is an awesome weapon against all the "wiles" of  Satan. Third, believe and expect the Holy Spirit of Truth will manifest himself as God’s illuminator that searches out darkness and exposes each lies spoken by Satan, bringing every thought into captivity that lifts itself against the knowledge of God.

4. Close every door that caused spiritual opposition or oppression
.
Moral compromise, deception, and an exploitation of a person’s vulnerability have been found to be the primary “doors” Satan and people use to influence others to fall from grace through sin. It’s imperative that once you have been overtaken in a fault, you quickly repent and be reconciled to God. After repentance, denounce every action that led to that sin and ask God to seal that door shut by cleansing you from that act of unrighteousness. Simply put, take back through the intervention of the Holy Spirit, and God's ministering angels what the devil stole from you!

Walking in the Light of the Lord

1John 4:1-9  "There's no Darkness in God"
Light, in the Scriptures is defined as the emblem of purity, truth, knowledge, prosperity, and happiness-as darkness is of the opposite. John said that "God is light" not the light, not a light, but light itself; that is, he is himself all light. God is the source and fountain of light in all worlds. He is perfectly pure, without any admixture of sin. He has all knowledge, with no admixture of ignorance on any subject. He is infinitely happy, with nothing to make him miserable. He is infinitely true, never stating or countenancing error; he is blessed in all his ways, never knowing the darkness of disappointment and adversity. What light is in the natural world, comparatively, God, the source of even material light, is in the spiritual world. God is the fountain of wisdom, purity, beauty, joy, and glory. Just like all material life and growth depend on light, in the same manner, so does all spiritual life and growth depend on God.

The “light” expression here is designed to affirm that God is absolutely perfect; that there is nothing in him which is in any way imperfect, or which would dim or mar the pure splendor of his character, not even as much as the smallest spot would on the sun. The language is probably designed to guard the mind from an error to which it is prone, that of charging God with being the Author of the sin and misery which exist on the earth; and the apostle seems to design to teach that whatever was the source of sin and misery, it was not in any sense to be charged on God. This doctrine that God is a pure light, John laid down as the substance of all that he had to teach; of all that he had learned from him who was made flesh. It is, in fact, the fountain of all just views of truth on the subject of religion, and all proper views of religion take their origin from this. In the Gospel of John 1:4- 9, The Apostle John lets us know that in Jesus, there was life, and this life was the “light” of men. The light of Jesus shone in the darkness of this world and the darkness that’s in this world could not understand his light. God even sent a “forerunner to Jesus, John the Baptist to bear witness; to testify about Jesus, the Light of the world that men might believe in him. John the Baptist knew that he was not the light and said so when he was asked by the religious leaders to identify himself. John the Baptist reaffirmed that Jesus gave light (eternal life) to all men who would believe in him.

This phrase means that by God’s very nature there is absolutely no darkness in his character. There cannot be any darkness because God is the very source of real wisdom, knowledge, holiness and happiness. There is no inkling of ignorance, sinfulness, imperfection or misery. God is light and this means that in God is everything purity is, knowledge will ever be, perfection and grace projects and truth personifies. In Galatians 5: 22- 23, God’s character is embodied in the “fruit of the Spirit. Each one of these fruit embodies the light of God. Darkness by its very definition is the opposite of light. Darkness represents everything imperfect, everything that brings misery, strife, sin and destruction. Darkness is error of perception and it distorts everything that comes through our senses on all levels: physical, psychological, as well as spiritually.

Remember: Man is imperfect. Man life is best described by Job: "A man that is born of a woman is of a few days and full of trouble"! Man's ways are not like God's ways and man's thoughts are not like God's thoughts. So, when a man or woman walk in their own perceptions, their own views of right and wrong, in their own will, and refuse the will of God and submission to the move and power of the Holy Spirit,  they walk in darkness based upon their error of what they percieve of God. Satan distorts evereything that come through their senses both mind and body and spirit, and as you see in many instances, their lives become another tragic statistic of misery, strife, sin-ladened and ultimately, they are destroyed!  Jesus came that you might have life and have life in abundance.....I beg of you....please walk in the illumination of the life of Jesus. God Bless and keep you......
